I wear a thong. You may not be able to see it, but I can wear it.

Master Q and I were home with the flu today. I can't wait for this heat wave to end. Bring it on when I'm by the lake in Canada. But not in London, ugh!
My favourite food, Artichokes, are being celebrated at creature comforts today. I love all her ideas but crafting with an edible artichoke is a bit sacreligious. My sister informs me that they are one of the top ten foods listed in her healthy food book. Yeah artichokes!
This here is the flower pattern for yesterdays neck corsage.
The larger of the flowers should measure about 10cm (4") across from petal tip to petal tip.
For a large corsage you need to cut about 3 big flowers and two small flowers and slash almost to the centre as shown in the pattern.
Make the hole in the middle with a sharp awl or pointy pencil.
Begin by threading one large flower onto a leather thong or other cording material. Tie an over hand knot with the two cord ends.
Thread the next large flower on and repeat the last step.
Repeat with each of the cut flowers. They will fold and curl and this will give the flower a full look.
Voila, c'est fini. you can add some more beads to the neck piece or another smaller flower. If you want your flowers to hang slightly to the side of your neck you will need to hang a counter balance (such as a bead, heavier than your flower) from the back closure.
Okay I'm off to bed with my fever. Here's hoping I can lose a kilogram in sweat tonight. Ew, yuk.

Think I need alittle help with this one, although it may be easier when I have the pieces in my hands. The flowers look beautiful and I'm sure we will be adding them to handbags, hats, brooches etc.... What I like about them most of all is that they dont wilt, go brown around the edges or die - perfect!!!!
