Yes, my hair should make a statement. Just as long as it doesn't say, 'Thank you for the Country Music Award.'
Gracie Hart, Miss Congeniality
Actually I wouldn't mind Country Music Award. What i want to avoid is 38 year old homemaker.
This photo is a bit of a cheat because you can't really tell that my hair now ends at the bottom of the photo but the camera kept tilting on the tripod so it was either this or a picture of my boobs (or bombs as my mobile phone insists on calling them).
Okay, here come some felted beads. If you like vibrant colour, these will get your mouth watering.
I've used Angelina iridescent fibres in these beads as well as seed beads. I love the contrast of the matte wool and various sparkly bits.
I've got more photos but I'm not sure if I should spoil you with these chocolates (only European Ambassadors will get this little joke).
Okay, okay, one more.
There are a few more shots in my beading gallery.
I was supposed to teach a workshop on felt and beads in May but ran away to Canada instead. I've promised to run it from my home in London in October. Let me know if you are interested in coming along and I'll keep you informed. It will be over a weekend day.
Come back tomorrow, I've got many more goodies to show you.
The contrast between felt and beads work so well together.
You could make some great felted grapes, cherries and strawberries with beaded stems and leaves!

I found you're blog tru Yvestown and I'm so happy I did.
You're beading is absolutely georgious. I love your combinations of felt and beads. I'm a needlefelter myself and I've been experimenting combining it with beads as well, although I haven't published anything about it yet. But seeing your beautiful creations is a huge inspiration and I will definitely do some more experimenting.
I love your blog and absolutely will place it on my daily reads list.

Yes, please. I'd love to do a day on felt & beads. Sounds great.
Love the new hair style - it makes you look no more than 28 and very footloose & fancy free - not a 38 year old homemaker at all!
FAB lariat - thanks.

Oh, how I wish I were going to be in London for your day of felt bead making! They are really lovely -- I'd love to see them as a necklace. Would they be itchy against the skin? (Does that question sound as foolish as I think it did?)

I love your work. I have been obsessed with wool fiber lately. I, too, have been combining japanese seed beads and wool felt together to make jewelry. Thanks for sharing!

Your hair colour is amazing! Is it natural? (Sorry I am sure people ask you that all the time. My 5 year old son has dark auburn hair and people started asking me if it was natural from when he was a baby. I wanted to yell 'Do you really think I'd dye my baby's hair???' but just said "Yes, it's natural') The beads are unbelieveable! They are such an imaginative idea.

The felted beads look so magical...one even resembles a wand, I love them! :)
Your hair is fantastic, I love the color...I always wished I could go red. My hair is a true masterpiece of color, in blondes and browns...my stylist is a real picasso. ;)

Your sister here - you look gorgeous. Just don't go looking too young or I'll have to find some comparable strategy of youngification and I haven't got much hair to play with!
On the craft front, you may be interested to know I crochetted some charming cat toys this weekend, featuring large bouncy balls, some with tails, and all with handy handles for cat/human interaction and human teasing of cat. They haven't got much going for them in the way of texture contrast, but they are variegated colours! Hope you had a good weekend. Love Jen xo
