My Face looks like a bouquet of elbows.
Phyllis Diller
Do you know Phyllis Diller comes up with just about the best quotes. Has anyone read her biography? I might have to this summer.
Okay, I've put 6 necklaces up in the blog shop. All £20.00, I take care of p&p. I'll put up sold signs as they sell.
I am modeling my necklaces in the shop instead of Delores because she isn't quite life sized and you don't get the best sense of the way the actual necklaces hang. Delores is a former 3/4 size Wonderbra model (just like me, ha ha). She's been with me a long time but I might need to think about getting a bigger gal soon.
I've got a new approach to not looking like a 38 year old homemaker. It's to wear gobs of green eyeshadow. Do you think it works?
I promise that is the last photo of me for a while.
I'm packing up my beads now. I'm feeling a tremendous need to paint. See, this is what happens to the whim of iron.
Yes! You have discovered the secret of looking perpetually young and dewy! I predict a run on green eyeshadow at Boots (do they still have Boots over there?)

love the green eye shadow! but you are the type of person who will always look young, so I wouldn't worry about it too much!

If you can carry off green eyeshadow (and clearly you can), then do it. I'd look like something out of The Hobbit.
The necklaces are really lovely, but sadly I don't think they would look quite the same on me either. Look forward to seeing your paintings.

You look very '1950s glamour', which is always a good thing!

Hey, if I look as good as you at the end of the month (when I turn 38) I would post pix of myself all OVER!
I enjoy your blog a lot. Love the quotes at the beginning of each entry. Love the colors. You're part of my daily dose of art (AND fun.)
Your photos of your friend's bureau drawers made me laugh especially. I have a friend who would do that to me and it delighted me to 'meet' another character like her. Thank you.

I didn't look that good when I was 28, let alone 38 !!.
(I tell my kids I'm 21- in my head.)

Love the green eye shadow. It looks vibrant on you... young and fresh. I think your blog is fantastic. So glad I stumbled upon it. Isn't it funny how I don't quite know how I got here at all. The mystery of blog hopping. But it's a wonderful surprise just the same. I feel the same way about watercolors by they way, the bolder the better! Cheers. :)
