...there's no way to know for sure without finding out what a "kg" is, and my belief, as an American, is that if I have to start understanding the metric system, then the terrorists have won.
Dave Barry
I've posted a new author photo; something from my past. My deeply sincere, naive and kind past, before I became a big cynical city girl. Before I ripped up my Brownie membership in disgust with fairy songs. What I wouldn't do to go back to fairy songs! Sigh.
I've just seen this book on someone else's website.
Does anyone know if it's as good as it looks? They don't carry it in the UK so I'd have to order it from America. Is it worth it?
I'm trying to get together some money to buy Photoshop (I've been working on Photoshop Elements for the last two years). So I'll be having a sale later this month of jewelery, paintings, etc. Look out for it or let me know if you would like a reminder.
Amazon.com has more comments that amazon.co.uk for this book and, even though there are no pictures of inside spreads, they might help you decide whether the book is up your alley. If you do get it, will you post some pictures?

i really like it. it's quirky, fun and funky. it's more eye candy than practical decorating projects or advice. it is definitely not worth the exorbitant price they are charging for it at amazon, tho. i would say $15-20 usd, tops. email me and work out a swap package if you like. :D

Yes Juju! The book is great!!! I love looking at it for ideas and inspiration - she is very clever and creative.
Thanks for your 'computer savvy' input today. I would love to have your help in fixing my images and intro. pages. Believe it or not, I actually tried to fix them - 4 very frustrating hours - but still could not get them to do what I wanted. Any advice you can give me would be much appreciated - I'll send you some goodies in exchange...

I have the book--it was fun to look at once, but I got rather annoyed with its lack of practicality. The author is totally creative, but she's really trained as a window dresser--and that is what so much of this resembles. Sort of exciting to see the pics at first, but when one looks closer, things appear shoddy and ridiculous--and the rooms appear ridiculous as places in which people actually live. Fun eye candy, but I was disappointed (and paid full price). You are welcome to my copy--email if you'd like it!

Have to agree with Patricia's comment above. Superficially it looks great but its really LOADS of clutter artfully arranged. Not entirely practical unless you have a housekeeping team . You can have my copy if you'd like...

I'd love a reminder, too. Love your felted beads! Are you still doing any rug hooking? I loved how you took it to a new level!

Have you considered becoming a student so you can get the educational price on Photoshop? You can get the whole suite of Adobe software for way less than the retail price of PS, plus you get to take a class.
