In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

Now that I'm here, 40 doesn't seem that bad. Glad I've got it over with though.
My little plummet to the bottom of the well is over and I'm back on form. Of course going to Paris last weekend didn't hurt. Neither does the beginning of Spring.
I've been taking lots of pictures.
Of my kids...
(How amazing is this Italian ice cream cone, we bought in Paris?!)
And of Spring's arrival at Leeds Castle in Kent.
I feel restored and inspired and dying to paint!
Today's Inspiration: Orton imagery for my photographs. It makes them look so dreamy I can hardly stop.
Likes: Paris. The French have every right to be arrogant.
Dislikes: Unseasonably cold weather. We're ready for the good stuff now aren't we?
Happy Birthday! Your trip looks incredible.

Happy Birthday Juju. Love the photos-your daughter is beautiful and looks like the personification of a French girl in the photo. Yes, the ice cream is pretty good too.

It looks like you had a wonderful birthday! And, who can look at the ice cream when it's held by such a pretty daughter? ;-)

We are ready for the ready for the good stuff!
Glad you made it over the 40-hump. You're joining a great bunch of women who've been there before you.
Love the photos & I'm very glad you're back here sharing your journey.

Oh how I love the picture of your daughter. I have a similar one of my mother but from way back in the 1920's - they hand painted on the colour in those days on to the black and white photo somehow. I gives - at least on the one of my Mum the same dreamy quality with one or 2 colours really popping out. A very happy birthday to you. 40 is not so bad - for me I am fast approaching the next big one!

Welcome Back! Forty isn't so bad - forty one is better. Your children are so beautiful - like they stepped out of Pre-Raphaelite paintings.
