Why do women always want to watch porn movies right to the end? Because they want to see if the heroine gets married. Jimmy Carr via my friend Jinny
I love that joke! It's my current favourite. I have been telling two highly obscene jokes that I wont mention here but I like that one even better.
I've been very busy this last month and haven't taken the time to blog. My biggest problem being that I don't always have pictures to go with my activities. I still don't have pictures of the wedding dresses I've made or the felt hats.
Also I'm working on a couple of books right now and I can't blog about the content. However, I will give you a sneak peak at some jewelery I've been working on for my next book because I took some nice photos and it won't hurt just this once. Will it?
I've become very interested in combining fabrics with beads. This necklace uses chiffon as the stringing material and the tie.
And more of that gorgeous chiffon...
I think I've finally found a material I like to string jade with! More experimentation to come...
This next set of bracelets includes some t-shirt tubes.
I loved making it because I could play with beads, fabric, silk threads and metal. More fun to come in this direction.
Today's inspiration: Middle Aged Teacher at Flickr continues to inspire me and now she has a blog. Plus super Susan at Loop has this lovely article about her at Lovely Textiles which looks like a great blog.
Likes: The Adam and Joe show! How I love funny radio!!
It is so great that you're back! I actually checked in earlier today just to make sure that Bloglines hadn't omitted telling me about any new posts, but no. And then, all of a sudden, there you are! Great!
I just love the idea of combining fabric and beads - that combo of fragile looking chiffon and the solid beads looks really good :-)

Hi Juju I have just found your blog via Artful Blogging although I have had your rag rug book for ages.I was introduced to rag rugs by a very dear "hooker" friend in Reeth called Heather Ritchie. Anyway just to compliment you on your work and the huge amount of inspiration it provides. Will be back to check out everything when I have more time.

Hello Juju,
your new projects are really lovely and nice. I have two books of yours (they're both on rag rugs), thank you for them. They do inspire me to invent and create beautiful things! Best wishes!
