What should you do when you have made a mess of your studio and can't work in it?
Well clearly you should tidy it up and get on with making work.
What do you do? You clear a little corner where you can work on your computer and you decide to begin writing a novel and messing with Photoshop.
And is this what you should do? No!
YES! A creative force cannot be stopped by practicality!? Pashah!

oh but it's so much more fun than tidying. I have a tidy just once in a while - I find I work better in a mess but it gets to a point where I can't find the desk let alone a chair to sit on - then I sort of throw stuff around until it looks a bit more like a room than a laundry basket and then I get on again. I don't look over the other side of the room where I threw everything....t.x

ohhh, goodness, do i ever know that drill. i've brought three or four trays out into the living room, and am working here...every tabletop is covered in piles of lace, leather, tatting, pearls. but it is a heavenly mess, i'm having too much fun.
i was thinking of you just yesterday - my sister and i are discussing a trip over the water, and will be in london for long enough to visit the flea markets, then will travel by rail up to the north, where i plan to teach a workshop. keeping fingers crossed it will all unfold...x nina

As long as you are able to clear that little corner that might be all you need ;-) You can't stifle your creative spirit after all (that's my excuse, anyway...).
