This idea of mine to post on a single topic, over a month, is not working out.
My interests and activities changed and I didn't make the time to shift gears and post about sewing from Japanese clothes books. Sorry.
I think I'm going to return to my previous format and post about what I'm currently interested in. I will come around to more sewing info eventually, but you might as well know what I'm up to now.
With my discovery of Ravelry, my interests moved back to knitting and crochet. They were already on their way there but this helped get the fire going. I've been doing a lot of knitting from other people's patterns and dying my own yarns.
This one is called Sweet Ernie.
And I made a beret called Honest Ernie with removable flower pin.
I love neckwarmers, cowls and shawlettes. Especially in my hand-dyed cashmere.
Along with the dying, my paints have come out again, too. I'm just mucking around at the moment. Getting warmed up.
Much more to come!
I've only been blogging for a couple of months and had an idea of what I wanted to do when I started out. But, I wanted to do my own photographs and have found that my photography takes so much time to sort and polish up the images. I've found that aspect to be very rewarding which is good.
I made a list of things that I thought that I could blog about if I ran out of ideas but instead, I find that I have too many ideas and photos to share. And life gets in the way of time to make blog posts. My fingers are eager to get to knitting and sewing too but will have to wait until later this summer.
I love the colors of your hand-dyed yarns and your painting too. Rich and vibrant.

Glad that you've decided to blog more regularly whatever it's going to be about. I miss your posts when you don't make them. Loving the hat and the little attached coursage.

I think "your whim of iron" is showing. A multiple grapeshot of topics is more suited to your personality. Look forward to many posts about all your projects...

very beautiful warming up painting - I like the random posts - life is fairly random and it is a joy to be able to do exactly what you are drawn to. fab

I say do what interests you. It's too hard to keep yourself tied to one thing if you're interested in a lot of things! embrace it.
