Yum, yum! The yarn I was enthusing about yesterday is giving me such a thrill! It looks like a pretty tartan pattern knit up in this quick slip stitch, doesn't it?
I've almost finished one sock (it'll be done in the pub tonight).
If anyone wants to join me, I knit in the Rose and Crown in Stoke Newington every Friday night between 5 and 7:30.
It is a goal of mine to learn how to knit a pair of socks. I have watched several youtube video's, bought several book, even bought one of those cheesy looms, thinking it would help. NOPE...I get to the heal and my brain gets stuck!!!
I taught my on Jan 1 2009 how to knit a simple purl and knit stitch. Which has been fun (the family has LOTS of scarves) but would would really really love to know how to knit a pair of socks.

Yummy yarn! I really need to find some :-)
Then maybe I could actually finish a whole pair of socks... I tend to get bored after the first one. Maybe I should knit the other one first? ;-)

That looks like something I'd like to wrap myself in.
