This is just a quick post to show off my knitting in the Battle Bird colourway that I dyed the other day.
Knit up, it reminds me of pencil doodles and old red rubbers and I wanted to make a background to express some of that.
I think maybe, this only resonates with me. No one is ever going to look at these socks and wish they had a painting to compliment them.
But to me, it's like scratching a itch.
Ahhh!
I remember those red rubbers! We had a lot of fun with them.
Your socks are gorgeous and I love your yarn.

Now that you say that: all socks should have a painting to go with them! :-)

Your blog is a delight to look at. I asked my other half to knit some socks for me for Christmas as he can annoyingly turn his hand to anything and succeed. I even bought some long bendy needles from the charity shop but he hasn't done it yet. Maybe I will have to try myself.

Forget the painting, your socks are beautiful all by themselves! I love the warm yarn colors too, they really radiate warmth! If you like kitting, you should give felting a try- you'd probably pick it up pretty quickly.
