Mitten season makes me happy and nostalgic. These ones are embroidered.
The cuff is worked in a circle, as follows, over 60sts:
k2, yo, k2, k2tog ~ repeat, changing colour every five rows. This automatically forms the diamond pattern and makes an elastic fabric which is good for keeping wrists warm.
