This is one of those fun days where I get to show off goodies.
I did a jewelery swap with Jennifer in Kansas City.
She got my number right with loads of polka dots. My goodies arrived beautifully packaged in polka dots.

She sent me this necklace dripping with jewels and framed bits of her illustration.

Great fun.
I hope she likes the beaded lady necklace I sent her.

I also received a most wonderful and generous package from Mary. She responded (along with some other kind people) to my request for Fiberart magazine with this lovely parcel.

That beribboned pile is full of fabulous polka dot fabric! Thank you Mary that was so generous and appreciated. I'm really broke right now and it was great to get presents.
This blogosphere is one great place to be. Thank you everyone for all your kind comments and messages.

Oh no, you're all in big trouble! I've just bought a jumbo sized book of jokes and one-liners. I've moved on (or perhaps I should say down) from slightly sophisticated, humorous quotes to silly jokes. Soon I'll be pulling out the Mommy Mommy! jokes. If you don't know what those are, consider yourself lucky.

Quick catch-up on some lovely mail presents. Fiberchick gave me loads of stuff when I was in Canada including these bits of Amy Butler fabric, matchy pencils and yarn.

She gave me more stuff (super generous) but I distributed it throughout my house before pictures got taken. Thank you Fiberchick. Maybe one day you too will have a blog.

I got these lovely bits in the post from Sabine last week.

Love these fabric badges. I've been wearing the bird one a lot. Some nice Xmas decorations too.

All sorts of projects are getting finished at the moment. Including my crochet mohair t-shirt trim.

There are red glass nail heads embroidered  between the loopy bits to add a bit of sparkle. Looks great with this old brooch.
More photos to come, just waiting for some light (maybe I can't wait until May).

No David is not getting the bag in the last post and probably no sweater for Christmas either. Any ideas?

I can't get enough of those Steven Wright quotes. I don't really know who he is but he sure says funny stuff.
Time to catch up on some of the wonderful stuff I've gotten lately.

She has also given me some patterns she has drawn up. They're coming with me on holiday, hoping  I find the time.

Look at what I got today! You know it's going to be good when it comes wrapped in a shoe box with rose petals.
When I opened the box there was a teddy purse inside.

One of his hands is the snap closure.
Underneath him was this whole little picnic of Anano inspired loveliness.

The next one doesn't look very interesting in the photo but you have to appreciate it had a very ugly high neckline before.

Now it has a lovely bias bound Amy butler print neckline and looks much better on.
Great with my necklaces.

I'm afraid it has been a blue few days round the polka dot house. No reason, life is just like that sometimes.
My husband got me more RAM for my computer to try and cheer me up. I can't say if it has worked on me, but my computer is much happier.

I've been very lucky though. I've received some nice gifts. From Craftapalooza  I got this lovely package.

I love the spotty bag especially and I've already used some of the fabric to make flowers for a necklace. I will post those tomorrow.

Another treat came in the mail today from Jane at Yarnstorm. I commented how much I liked one of her spotted scissor bags and look what she sent me!

I love the colours and everything Jane.

Thanks for helping keep those black dogs at bay girls.

The goodie packages have left the building

What is it about people who repair shoes that makes them so good at cutting keys?

I finally sent out the goodie packages this morning. I gave winners the choice between 'green tea', 'perfect pink' or 'parchment pale'. I had no takers for parchment pale but four green teas and 3 perfect pinks. Here is a picture of one of the green tea packages.

Sorry they took me so long to get out. Next time I will do a draw so that I can put more energy into one package. Stay tuned for that in the next two weeks.

Remember Worldwide Knit In Public Day on Saturday!  Not only will I be knitting in Clissold Park from 1:30 but we will be giving tricycle rides on the polka dot mobile and I will have freshly baked cookies.
